At ResellerClub we celebrate and revel in the success of our customers and their growth stories. Being associated with over 200,00+ resellers across the globe, we feel proud when we look at our customer’s journey and the great work they are doing.

One such reseller that makes us proud is creativeON Hosting Pvt. Ltd. We spoke to Mr. Junaid Omer, Director @ creativeON, where he told us all about his experience of working with ResellerClub and the industry. Read on to know what he has to say.

Company Name: creativeON Hosting Pvt. Ltd.

Favourite Control Panel Feature:
There are two. One, extensive search, that allows going deep into domains even registered by resellers of our reseller. And second is the ability to login into the client’s panels.

I Choose ResellerClub Because: There are many reasons for that.

In the beginning, it was the best prices, which have stayed the best till now; and the ability to have sub-resellers. As years pass by, ResellerClub has given us more and more reasons to stick with them. It includes offering more and more new TLDs, and a non-stop chain of domain promos that we pass on to our customers and resellers regularly, which is a good marketing thing for us.

After induction of shared hosting, cloud, and dedicated server, I would say ResellerClub is the best Windows provider that any startup will ever need to start a business in this niche.

Q1. When did you enter the Web Services Industry, and where do you see your business going?

We started in 2001, and currently, we are among the top 3 companies in Pakistan. The Web Hosting industry has evolved a lot. In the last decade, there has been a significant transformation from traditional hosting to Cloud Hosting; this is something that any serious business can’t miss. We are focusing on offering managed cloud services from AWS, Azure, and Google cloud. We aim to add as much value as we can to our cloud solutions.

The second thing that we are focusing on is SaaS/CMS based services rather than offering a classic plan hosting package. And I believe every other business is in transition to offering SaaS-based services. We did a little survey during the first two quarters of 2021; what we did was, we called every new client who bought classic hosting from us. We asked what they would host, and over 73% bought hosting for WordPress, open-cart, or PrestaShop.

I am very clear on classic hosting to SaaS transition. We are almost ready to add Opencart, Prestashop plans to our services (we are already offering managed WordPress hosting with great success). SaaS helps clients focus on their business rather than maintaining the CMS itself; that is one reason SaaS will roll in the future. For a service provider, an added benefit of the SaaS approach is that you get fewer support queries.

Q2. What do you think is your secret to success, and why do Customers prefer creativeON?

In our case, it is customer support. You need to be there by all means when a customer needs you. Sometimes you need to go way beyond your role as a hosting provider to fix client websites, and we never hesitate to do that.

The bulk of our clients are the ones who were referred to us by old clients. We do marketing campaigns a lot, which as you know is very uncommon in the hosting industry. But still, we have a steady increase in our clientage.

In services, I believe retaining clients is more important than getting new ones.

Q3. Tell us a little about doing business in Pakistan. What are the most unique aspects of the market?

Well, in my opinion, in all South Asian countries, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Srilanka, more specifically, you need to build a trust factor with the client. When clients host locally, they demand more personal services than hosting internationally. So, use local language wherever possible and relate to the client. That was in general. While speaking to our niche, in Pakistan and other countries too, after COVID, there was a big boom for e-commerce. When other businesses were in trouble, our niche got business.

Q4. Is there any advice that you’d like to give others that are still learning the ropes of the industry?

One mistake that almost all the newcomers make is that they try to offer all services that are possible. And then, startups with limited resources cannot provide quality to it. I recommend analyzing the market, choosing micro-niche with a vacuum in providers, and then offering extensively value-added services.

Simply offering multiple services that every other host is offering will lead you nowhere. Of course, services like domain names are sold as-is, but you can always add value to hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers.

And on top of it, provide the best-personalized support and success would be yours.

Q5. You have been with ResellerClub since 2003. What do you think has changed over the years?

In my opinion, ResellerClub responded proactively to all changes happening in IT and the internet.

At first, when we signed up with ResellerClub, it was for domains where we were able to delegate complete control to end-users. And in those days, it was a big thing for domain resellers. After 2014 new TLDs started, and those days were exhilarating, as we were offering almost all the new TLDs. I don’t remember losing a customer because we do not offer a TLD.

And then, with the addition of Web Hosting services, there is hardly any service in the hosting niche that we cannot resell.

As to your question about what is changed, I will say everything in a very positive manner.

Q6. Could you tell us some interesting stories or anecdotes about your company? How has having ResellerClub as a partner helped your business?

There was this domain dispute between two corporates, and the domain happened to be registered through us by ResellerClub. As a service provider, you face ownership disputes from time to time, and you learn how to cope with them. But this was different, with lawyers from each side reaching out to us, visiting us, and trying to sway us to their side. I spoke to my account manager at ResellerClub, and he advised me to stick to the rules. In the end, both parties realized that it is not in any person’s hand and there is a policy (URDP Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) that the domain registrar will follow.

In all this fuss, when you are under pressure and need assistance, our account manager at ResellerClub, Manish, was available for us over skype. Not only for this, but overall, when we need quick assistance, we can always reach out to Manish. This, in turn, helps us to get quick and better support for our customers. Such personalized support might be a thing for startups or small companies, but for a bulk provider, it is a rare thing.

Q7: The recent COVID-19 pandemic has changed the ways businesses operate. Are you running your business remotely? If yes, how has your experience been thus far? What challenges have you faced and how have you overcome them?

We operated the business remotely last year when the first wave of COVID hit Pakistan, but after that, we started working from the office with half of the staff.

We have learned that when a common person/ startup needs to sell online, he needs a very different kind of assistance than from firms with a dedicated IT department. To address that, as I have mentioned above, we are focusing more on SaaS, especially on e-commerce related software.

Q8. Could you tell us what your most preferred product is from ResellerClub? Also, how has your experience been?

It has been domain names since day one. And I am proud we made the right decision all those years ago.

Q9. Can you please rate ‘the preferred product’ on a scale of 1 – 5. (1 being very poor and 5 being excellent)

As readers may have already guessed from my previous answers, it is 5. We look up to ResellerClub for support excellence and try to provide as good a support to our customers as we get from ResellerClub.

Q10. Feedback for your Account Manager Manish Shinde.

Manish has always been highly responsive; he even follows up on the emails from ResellerClub technical team on my skype. His best support was when we were in the middle of a domain dispute, as mentioned above.

That’s all from our chat with Mr. Junaid Omer. A big shoutout to creativeON Pvt. Ltd. For all the hard work they are putting in to help and serve their customers. We wish them continued success and growth.

Thanks for reading!
