Over the past few days, we’ve discussed with several of you that the recent experience with cPanel Linux hosting has been less than ideal. The issues have predominantly been about websites taking considerable time to load. Naturally, we were extremely concerned by it. This week, we undertook a comprehensive review of the Linux hosting setup in order to get to the bottom of this issue. In course of our investigation, we had to take some of the servers offline today (Tuesday) for brief periods ranging from 5 minutes on a couple of servers to 45 minutes on one server, during […]
As one of the largest Reseller-Focused Registrars in the world, we partner with Resellers from over 240 countries. Naturally, with such a diverse clientele at hand, we realized that we needed to make our Products and Services as accessible to our Resellers and Customers as we possibly could. As a result, the Localization Partner Program was introduced in May 2010. A pioneering program, it is an on-going effort to support the translation of all system content into several languages. We picked a few languages for the first phase of our program and expect to take up many more in the […]

Many Resellers, just like Chris […]
A few days ago Microsoft released a Security Advisory (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/2416728.mspx) about a vulnerability which affects all versions of ASP.NET. This vulnerability known as Padding Oracle exploits the way an ASP.NET application handles encrypted data. ASP.NET encrypts data to prevent an application from tampering with it. Because of this vulnerability, an attacker can send data to a site and analyze the error response which provides a lot of information enabling the attacker to break the ASP.NET’s encryption in a matter of hours or minutes. An attacker then would be able to read a vulnerable application’s files and tamper with the data […]
